My Current Make Up Look

New beauty launches have finally slowed down enough that i haven't felt compelled to rush out and immediately buy products. Also my bank balance has not allowed me to buy anything new but that's not the point. Today is payday so when that money hits my account i will probably be back online ordering tonnes of make up.

At the moment i haven't had any new products since my Sephora haul so i have finally been able to sit down and test all of the products i have bought in recent months. Everything i've bought has finally made its way into my makeup collection as i no longer need to picture them for the blog. This allows me to see the products i actually reach for and use the most so i'm going to talk you through the look/products i have been using pretty much everyday.

Lets jump straight into it or we are going to be here for days. I'm going to start with my base makeup as that is what i would start with if i was doing my make up. If you have read any of my previous make up looks then you will know i rarely include this in my look posts just because it rarely changes but this time something new has come into my routine. I am not on that primer hype at the moment but i did have a sample of the Becca Backlighting Primer and i loved it. It is perfect for adding a little bit of glow for the Spring time and making my foundation look fresher for longer. This will be one of the first products added to my payday beauty basket.

There is no change to my foundation, as always i am using the Estee Lauder Double Wear in the shade 2N1 Desert Beige. It is full coverage, makes my skin lovely and matte, and it doesn't cake. However my skin has been looking quite dull so i have been mixing in a little bit of the Tom Ford Shimmer Shot. I was very kindly given a sample when i bought my eye shadow quad. The shimmer is stunning, it is a very pale rose gold that makes the skin glow rather than looking glittery. I've tried it as a highlight and it gives a natural dewy highlight but i prefer something more blinding so i only use this mixed in with my foundation.

The concealer i am currently using i wrote a review about not too long ago and it is the MAC Studio Finish. I still love it and i will link the review i wrote below if you want to read about it more. It is very full coverage and i love this concealer for covering spots which is something i have been struggling with lately. However the more i have used it, i have found i don't really like it under my eyes, it does cake a little bit so i might need to find something new for that area. Please let me know if you've got any recommendations, i don't know why but it is so hard to find a good all round concealer.

Recently i have eased up on the contour and i have been using a bronzer instead. I recently had my hair balayaged for the Spring/Summer so my hair is a lot lighter which in consequence has made me look paler so a little bit of Hoola by Benefit has been my best friend lately. I then apply my blush and i have been rediscovering my love of a Tom Ford Blush called Peach Ombre. I believe this was a limited edition a few summers ago and i did see some reviews saying it wasn't very pigmented, which is true but that is why it works perfectly for me. A pigmented blush is always going to be more difficult to apply especially as i am so pale. This blush gives me the right amount of colour whilst making it hard to over do it.

Highlighter has fast become one of my favourite products to play with. I have been on quite the spree when it comes to buying highlights so i haven't been able to use just one, i want them all on face. I have been alternating between the
Anastasia Beverly Hills x Nicole Guerriero Glow Kit and the Victoria Beckham x Estee Lauder Modern Mercury highlight and sometimes using both. They are both the best highlighting products i've ever bought and both are limited edition so if you can get your hands on them i recommend doing so.

I know it is completely the wrong way round but i do my eyes after i do my foundation on a daily basis. The only time i swap this is when i am going on a night out and doing a heavier eye look but for day-to-day the shadows i use don't give a massive amount of fall out. Even though i have an undying love for for my Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette, i have been using the Tarte Tease Palette after i rediscovered it whilst writing my review on the Tarte Pro To Go Palette. I have been liking a eye look which isn't as warm and incorporates elements of lilac/purple. I have been using the shade Whisper as a transition shade, Heartbreaker in the crease, blended out quite a lot with a little bit of bff in the outer corner to deepen the look. I then apply either Crush or First Kiss all over the lid depending on how much glitter i want to use that day. The shadows are very blendable so they are very easy to use in the mornings when i am in a rush to go to work.

I then do my lashes starting with a primer. I am currently using the Benefit They're Real Tinted Primer but i hate it. So i look forward to going back to my beloved Little Black Primer by Estee Lauder when this runs out. The mascara i am currently using is the Yves Saint Laurent Faux Cils Mascara. I haven't had it for very long so i am currently testing it out and gathering my thoughts on it but i love the way it makes my lashes look. I am in the process of doing a review so look out for that in the next few weeks.

On my brows of course i am using my ultimate brow duo; the Soap and Glory Archery 2 in 1 Brow Filling Pencil and Brush and Benefit's Gimme Brow. The pencil allows me to create the shape i want with my brows and Gimme Brow keeps them in place and also makes them look fuller. I have written a whole post on my brows so i will link this below.

Now i know you are all wondering what lipstick i have been wearing as of late. I have bought so many recently it has been hard to choose however with this particular look i have been loving the Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick in Pure Hollywood. I lusted after this lipstick for so long and it really does live up to my expectations/the hype. This shade is everything and just completes the look.

So there you have it, this is what my face currently looks like pretty much everyday. With the almost pastel lips and the slightly purple eye; for me it is as if Spring has already come. In this picture i actually had a gloss on rather than the Liquid Lipstick as i wasn't leaving the house but you get the idea. However this look is a great transition into Spring, the shades used are a lot lighter than my winter make up and it looks a lot fresher which is what Spring is all about.
