MAC Studio Sculpt Foundation

As i mentioned in my last post about MAC i was given a sample of the Studio Sculpt Foundation in the shade NC15 and i recently used it all up so now i feel like i can share my thought with you. In simple terms, I liked the sample so i decided to buy the full size, this is my first ever 'high end foundation' so i can not compare it to any other expensive foundations but i can compare it to the foundations i like.

In a foundation i look for something that will cover my spots when i have a few and that keeps my skin looking dewy but not too dewy. My favourite drugstore foundations are the Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation and the L'Oreal True Match foundation. The Rimmel one is slightly more medium coverage and is definitely dewy but i have the shade 100 Ivory which was the palest (they have since added a paler one since i bought this) and it is a bit too dark for me and my pale skin. Whereas the L'Oreal one is amazing, the shade is perfect for me but it does not give me enough coverage. Neither of these foundations last all day even though i use a primer underneath so i wanted something that would last a whole working day. This is why i thought it was time to try a MAC foundation, I've heard mixed reviews but after i had tried the sample i liked it. It gave me amazing looking skin for a long time, which is two essential parts of a foundation. The finish isn't too dewy and the shade is pretty much a perfect match which is rare for me to find.

At £25 a tube i'm not sure how i feel about the price tag, it is very expensive just for something that you put on your face. It has 40ml in it which is more than the Rimmel one or the L'Oreal one but i could buy two of the drugstore foundations for the price of the MAC one. However i would prefer to spend more on base products rather than a lipstick or eye shadow because your base is what is important and makes you look healthy, so overall i think it is worth it.

Have you tried any of the MAC foundations and what do you think about them or is there a different foundation you would recommend? Let me know in the comments.
