L'oreal Mono Eyeshadow

I remember the first time i saw these eyeshadows in Boots and i swatched a few on my hand and i liked them but i had just bought the Naked 2 palette so i didn't want to buy any more eye shadows however after i have seen Viviannadoesmakeup talk about these a few times i thought i would try one, that girl must have make-up spidey sense because she always has good recommendations.

The thing that originally put me off of these eyeshadows is the whole finishes thing, i didn't understand how they all differed and why but after Vivianna kind of went through them, it made a lot more sense. I do not like the idea of the super glittery ones but i liked the look of 201 Cafe Saint Germain and 106 Breaking Nude but i ended up just buying 201 Cafe Saint Germain because it is buy on get on free on L'Oreal in Boots and if you read my post from a few days ago you know i bought one of the L'Oreal Liquid Lipsticks so i just bought the one.

I started to apply this with my MAC 217 brush but i actually find it better to pack the colour on with your finger and then blend it out with the 217 because it gives off a stronger colour this way. To me the shade is reminiscent of YDK in the Naked 2 palette but with smaller shimmer so this is a cheaper single version of that shade, which is one of my favourites from the palette.

They are £5.49 normally but it was £2.75 because of the buy on get on free on L'Oreal in Boots. I would definitely recommend trying one, because of the gel infused consistency it is a bit weird at first, it is super buttery and soft, it lasts quite a long time and looks amazing.

P.S a few days after this i did end up buying 106 Breaking Nude and i love it and they do look amazing together!

Have you tried any of the other shades, which ones would you recommend, tell me in the comments.
