In a Rush? My go to Make-up Look

Recently i have had to get my make-up application down to an exact science so that i can spend the least time possible doing it in the mornings so i thought i would share my basic make-up routine. My make-up usually takes around 15 minutes and i like to watch a Youtube video whilst i am doing it so that i am up to date with my subscriptions.

I start off with a primer around my T-Zone and at the moment i am using The Body Shop Tea Tree Primer, it is very mattifying which i need at the moment because i get a bit shiny in these areas during the summer months and also it helps my foundation last longer. Also I need a good concealer at the moment as i am facing a constant breakout so i have been using the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in Fair. It is thick and is great at covering spots and i do use it under my eyes, even though it is a little bit drying, because the likelihood is that i haven't had enough sleep before i go to work. My current foundation is the sample i spoke about my MAC post (Tips for MAC stores) and it is the MAC Studio Sculpt Foundation in NC15 - it is a thicker foundation compared to other ones i like such as the L'oreal True Match foundation but i like it because it lasts throughout the day which is important for a work day. I like the finish, its not matt and its not too dewy and it has a good medium coverage and it does cover spots well. It smells a bit funky but i can look past this. Finally i set all of this with a little but of powder, at the moment i'm using the Maybelline Fit Me Powder in shade 115. I am not fussy with powder this is just one i had in my draw and i started using it. I like to use a light dusting over my face and neck to set all of my make-up so it lasts longer during the day. Do you see a theme here? Long lasting is the key to my basic make-up look.

Next i move on to the eyes, yes i am well aware i have not finished with my face but this is just the order in which i do things. As a base for the eyes i use a little but of the Maybelline Colour Tattoo in On and On Bronze. I just apply a little bit to my lid and blend it out using my MAC 217 brush. Once that's done i use my Kiko Eyeshadow Stick in 04 to line the outer corners of my eyes, alternatively i use the Rimmel Scandaleyes Shadowstick in Bad Girl Bronze depending on what is easily to hand. They are both identical colours, i just prefer the Kiko formula but the Rimmel one is more readily available. I finalise my eyes by curling my lashes and using the No7 Lash Impact Mascara in Black.

Back to my face i do tiny bit of contouring using the Sleek contouring kit, i just suck in my cheeks and blend a little bit in the dips created. Then i apply a bit of blush and my favourite at the moment is the L'oreal True Match Blusher in shade 125. I don't always use a highlighter but i have been using the MAC Skin Finish in Centre of Attention because it reminds me of the YSL touche eclat in the new rose gold version which i can't afford.

To finish my look i usually use the Soap and Glory Archery Brow Pencil because it is super easy to use for a brow noob like me. I usually apply a lip product, which changes daily, whilst i am in the car on my way to work. I don't drive myself so i can apply the finishing touches on my way to work.

This post makes the process sound a lot longer than it is but it does take you through my daily products, i hope you have enjoyed it and please comment telling me at least one item of your daily make-up routine.
