Revlon Matte Balms
The Revlon Matte Balms have been out for quite a while now and i was one of the first to rush to my local Boots and buy some. I originally bought two shades but the other day i was out shopping and decided to get another one because i liked them so much. So if you are new to the Revlon Matte Balms or are just here for a cheeky little read of a review then you are in the right place.
I'm going to work down the line of the balms because i hate it on blog posts when the writer doesn't tell you which ones which and sometimes i struggle to pick out which one it is i want.
So this first lip colour is the one on the right in the first picture and is shade 205 Elusive, the tube looks like nothing special but I really like it. I like the matte finish and the nude pink aspect to the shade. It is very natural looking and it suits my skin colour well. This is my favourite out of them all purely because I can wear it more regularly.
The middle shade is 210 unapologetic, this for some reason makes me think of Rihanna but she probably has nothing to do with this product, wasn't one of her albums called that or soemthing? It is a pink coral shade and it is quite different from the shades I would usually go for. Coral scares me because of its orangey tones but this is very pinky. I have ginger hair so I feel like it would be an overwhelming amount of orange if i had orange lips as well as hair. It is a warm shade so it washes me out a bit but I like it with quite plain makeup because it is quite bright.
And the final shade is 220 Showy and it is true pink, it reminds me of Barbie. This shade is the one I wear the least as it is bright and super girly so I have to be feeling brave for this lip colour but it is still very pretty. This shade doesn't really suit me and it would suit someone with a tan more than me but paired with a neutral eye it isn't too bad. Don't be scared by how bright it is because it is pretty. It reminds me of a mix between MACs St Germain and Chatterbox which are both strong pink colours but obviously it is a lot cheaper.
These lip crayons are £7.99 and available in both Boots and Superdrug. At the moment there is a promotion for buy one get on half price in Boots so you could even get two if you feel like it. I really do like these lip colours and I think the formula is great. The only thing I'm not sure about is the smell, it smells like a minty plastic but if you can get past this then they are great.
